Following up on it's recent "Plugged-In Fleets" report, the Energy Saving Trust, working in conjunction with EDF Energy, Transport for London and the Department for Transport, has introduced a pilot scheme to reduce emissions by helping companies replace their current fleets of vehicles with electric vehicles.
We think this pilot has great potential - especially with the support of big name companies such as Boots UK, Network Rail and Wm Morrisons who have already signed up - and we're firm believers that companies should invest in technology to help reduce their carbon footprint. However the extent to which they will and to which they are able to replace vehicles in their fleet has not been revealed and this raises an interesting point about the feasibility of electric vehicles being deployed in commercial environments . So we'd like to know what you think, is it really feasible, at this moment in time, for you to replace your fleet with electric vehicles?
