Challenge:
Nurture Landscapes operates a large fleet which services thousands of corporate and private sites across the UK, specialising in grounds maintenance and winter gritting services, predominantly within the corporate sector.
As the Gritting department experienced a significant growth period, doubling the number of locations it services from 4000 to 8500 sites, the need for more streamlined processes became evident - particularly given the business has adopted a strategy of acquiring similar likeminded businesses in order to expand its national presence, and fleet, in order to deliver a complete service to its client base.
Nurture Gritting’s operations were facing challenges due to the fleet not having a uniformed telematics solution. Instead, there were four different suppliers, resulting in myriad data points and formats and therefore very challenging at times to efficiently report on job progress and real-time asset location.

Solution:
After a full audit, National Operations Manager, Joe Young, chose Teletrac Navman, its AI-enabled TN360 fleet management platform and OBDII-fitted GPS trackers for Nurture Gritting’s entire fleet of 746 vehicles.
With TN360, Joe now has a real-time, bird's-eye view of the fleet. By geo-fencing each job, TN360 reports on start and end time as well as area covered. Reports are then included in the client invoice, which is produced and sent automatically once the geo-fence is exited, this is thanks to TN360’s integration capabilities with other operational software.
The performance of the drivers can also be monitored on the road with data provided on speed and harsh braking or cornering, which is particularly important given the business operates near or on hospital, school, and factory premises, where health and safety is paramount.
Additionally, this more sophisticated way of reporting on job completion has become a key reason in Nurture’s Gritting’s success in securing additional new contracts across the UK.
While TN360’s features and smart platform were key considerations in the decision-making process, Teletrac Navman’s personal touch and attention to its customers also played a big part.
Results:
