TELETRAC NAVMAN SPARKS NEW CONTRACT WITH SCUTUM FPG
Teletrac Navman has struck a new deal to deliver a comprehensive telematics solution to improve fleet and equipment management for Scutum FPG.
Milton Keynes, May 21, 2019 - The specialist supplier of fire and security solutions offers everything from the design, supply, installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems, to innovative security management systems incorporating CCTV and access control to a wide range of blue-chip clients. This is the first time the business has embraced telematics technology, and has awarded Teletrac Navman the contract following multiple recommendations from other customers who utilise the provider’s fleet-management products and services.
Scutum FPG will implement Teletrac Navman’s award-winning platform, DIRECTOR, across its 70-strong fleet, to meet the demanding and evolving needs of its business. These include increasing the daily visibility of its fleet, enhancing safety measures (particularly to benefit the business’ many lone workers), and minimising costs - predominantly rising insurance premiums.
With operations throughout the UK, Scutum FPG will benefit from vehicle tracking, which provides a comprehensive and dynamic overview of the location and performance of all the private and commercial vehicles that make up its fleet. Additionally, the fleet will also contain privacy buttons, to distinguish between business and private mileage.
Scott Hutchins, UK Vice President of Sales at Teletrac Navman, said: “As a business that’s committed to all aspects of health and safety for its workforce, clients and the general public, Scutum FPG was seeking a solution that reflected this ethos, and our offering was a natural fit for its requirements. The business, which hasn’t previously embraced telematics, came to us following several peer-to-peer recommendations, demonstrating that we have a proven track-record for delivering exceptional customer service and maximum results.”
Speaking of the new deal, Scutum FPG’s Group Finance Director David Armstrong, commented: “This investment will transform the way we manage driver behaviour and the overall safety of our fleet, by giving us greater visibility and the provision to devise and implement an enhanced driver training programme.
“We’ve been particularly impressed by the aftercare from our appointed Customer Success Specialist, who has ensured we hit the ground running through smooth planning and implementation of the new technology, as well as training to make sure we can extract as much value from the solution as possible.”
