Local Government Association comment
Following the announcement from the Local Government Association (LGA) that all lorry drivers should use commercial Sat Navs in their vehicles, Peter Millichap, Director of Marketing at Teletrac Navman, comments:
“We are in agreement that all LGV fleets should use navigational technology which considers the weight, height and length of vehicles.
“There are many instances every year of lorries hitting low bridges or becoming stuck down small country lanes, which can put other motorists and members of the public at risk.
“Teletrac Navman works closely with its customers to ensure they use suitable technology for their business needs, such as integrated telematics solutions.
“Businesses should make the most of the technology available, and opt for driving aids such as the M-Nav 950, rather than cut corners with Sat Navs designed for cars.”
