PREMIER TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT GIVES TELEMATICS THE GREEN LIGHT WITH NEW TELETRAC NAVMAN DEAL

Global telematics provider, Teletrac Navman, has secured a new deal with Premier Traffic Management Ltd. (PTM) to help the specialist traffic management sub-contractor achieve greater operational efficiency and safety.

Milton Keynes, March 23, 2019 - PTM specialises in everything from the design and implementation of large motorway schemes, through to mobile lane and road closures, diversions, large-scale events and temporary traffic signals. PTM, providing services to the construction, civil engineering and utility sector for more than 35 years, has opted for Teletrac Navman’s suite of powerful fleet management solutions thanks to their ease-of-use and competitive edge.

Covering County Durham, Doncaster, Northumberland, Penrith and Merseyside, the operator has deployed Teletrac Navman’s connected fleet management platform DIRECTOR to address driver behaviour and safety across its 135-strong fleet.

The platform not only enables PTM to monitor driver behaviour – providing granular data on harsh braking, acceleration and cornering – it also allows it to roll out a robust driver training programme, so safer driving practises can be implemented to reduce risks when out on the roads.

Previously, PTM had a basic tracking solution installed across its fleet, but this was not linked to an integrated management system. However, Teletrac Navman’s DIRECTOR platform, accessible via one easy-to-use interface, promises to dramatically improve user experience for the business by simplifying and streamlining the end-to-end management and automation of its fleet.

The deal also includes Teletrac Navman’s Dallas Key Driver ID technology installed in every vehicle, which allowing the PTM to keep track of individual driver profiles when vehicles are not permanently assigned to a single employee.

Scott Hutchins, UK VP of Sales at Teletrac Navman, said: “As a business that’s committed to all aspects of health and safety for its workforce, clients and the general public, Premier Traffic Management was seeking a solution that reflected this ethos, and our offering was a natural fit for its requirements. Our Professional Services team will also help deliver tangible benefits for the business, ensuring it can hit the ground running through smooth planning and implementation of the new technology, as well as training to make sure it extracts as much value from the solution as possible.”

Martin Fryer, Fleet Manager at Premier Traffic Management Ltd., added: “Having worked with Teletrac Navman and its market-leading software in a previous job, it was a no brainer when it came to selecting a tracking and telematics solution for our operations. This investment will transform the way we manage driver behaviour and the overall safety of our fleet by giving us greater visibility and the provision to devise and implement a formal driver training programme.”
